A veteran punk met scores of fans at a book signing.

John Lydon, known as Johnny Rotten during his time in the Sex Pistols, was promoting his new autobiography Anger Is An Energy: My Life Uncensored.

Fans of the singer queued at Waterstones in Brighton to see the man himself and buy his book, which was released last Thursday.

The book is Lydon's first complete autobiography and covers his life from childhood through to the present day, taking in Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd (PiL), along with his TV and media work, along with rare and unpublished pictures.

Speaking about the book, John Lydon said: “This book is about the life of a risk-taker.

“I make things safe for other people to follow in my wake.”
