A NEW housing estate boasting homes worth more than £1 million is bidding to become one of the most luxurious in the country.

A collection of 11 high-quality family houses near Crawley Down are currently being built by developer Linden Homes.

The massive Heath Wood homes project, dubbed one of Britain’s most expensive newbuild housing estates, features five-bedroom houses plotted in picturesque Sussex countryside.

However, despite prices starting from £1.25 million, potential buyers haven’t been put off. Developers said the glamorous collection of homes, which each feature at least three en-suite bathrooms and an Edwardian oak staircase, are expected to be snapped up when they are completed later this year.

Natalie Flint, from developer Linden Homes, said: “The quality, attention to detail and luxurious design make Heath Wood a development that we’re incredibly proud to be bringing to the West Sussex market.

“Not only does the collection enjoy stunning design, an enviable lifestyle and beautiful surroundings, but anyone lucky enough to be settling down here will also have good connections for getting to London and travelling further afield.

“We think these impressive, well-located homes are likely to sell very quickly.”

All Heath Wood houses come with a drive and double garage and also feature large gardens, lavish fixtures and fittings and expansive rooms.

Lucky buyers will also be able to say their homes border the High Weald – a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – and fall within easy commuting distance to London.

The properties range in size from 3,300sqft to 3,500sqft, with the most expensive costing buyers a cool £1.5 million.

A spokesman for Linden Homes said: “You could certainly call it one of the most expensive estates in Britain, but that is not what Heath Wood is about.

“It is an opportunity to purchase a home in a unique, rural setting, among other like-minded families.”

The properties are being developed on land that was previously home to greenhouses and a nursery.
