SINGER Elaine Paige has postponed her planned show this evening in Brighton due to illness.

The legendary musical theatre singer is now due to perform at Brighton Dome on November 13.

A spokesman for the singer said: “Due to illness, Elaine Paige has been forced to postpone her show today at Brighton Dome until Thursday November 13, 2014.

“Elaine and her band are deeply disappointed with this news but hope everyone can join them on the November 13."

The spokesman added all tickets for tonight’s show remained valid for November 13, but if necessary refunds were available from the point of sale.

The Laurence Olivier award nominee is on her 50th Anniversary Farewell Tour, with special guest Gardar Thor Cortes.

She Tweeted today: I'm so sorry, but due 2 illness @brightdome tonite is postponed until Thurs 13th Nov. I'm deeply disappointed but hope u can join me then.”

Fans have been sending get-well messages to the superstar singer, who swept to fame as the star of Evita and Cats in the West End.
