A DOUBLE booking for a baker left one mother with two 30th birthday cakes.
And not just any cake – the impressive structure put together by local baker Christopher Budd recreated the curves of Brighton and Hove Albion’s Amex stadium.
Angela Hensley, of Hangleton, ordered the cake for her son, Martin Kesteven, but when she paid for and landed two by mistake, she decided to donate one to the Martlets Hospice, in Hove.
Karen Lilley, catering manager at the Martlets, said it was a nice surprise.
She said: “It was enjoyed very much by all the patients and staff at the Martlets and we appreciate it being donated.”
