A woman had to be helped from her overturned car after it flipped and wedged itself against a communal bin.

Preston Circus and Roedean firefighters were called to Abbey Road, Brighton, to an overturned car following a single vehicle accident at about 4.15am this morning.

It is believed the car may have clipped a curb before landing on its roof and becoming wedged against a large communal bin.

Firefighters stabilised the car before helping the woman, who fortunately only suffered cuts and bruises, from the vehicle.
