Hundreds of music fans got to meet their pop idol at a book signing.

Pop lovers of all ages flocked to Churchill Square in Brighton on Saturday for Shane Filan of Westlife’s book signing organised by WH Smith.

The Irish singer pressed the flesh and signed the books of scores of fans before heading on down the road to wow audiences at the Assembly Rooms in Worthing that night.

The 35-year-old singer, who bagged 14 UK number ones with Westlife over a 14-year career before they spilt in 2012, was signing his new autobiography My Side of Life which was published earlier this month.

After the book signing, the singer tweeted: “Great to see you all in Brighton today. Off to Worthing now for tonight’s concert.”
