A PORPOISE was discovered washed up on Seaford beach this afternoon. 27/10
Laurence Koe and his family were visiting from London for the day and found the mammal buried in the shingle.
Mr Koe, 40, said: “There was a group of about 15 or 20 of us in the end helping to dig the shingle out of the way. Initially we thought the animal might be stuck in the shingle and could be saved and then we realised it was sadly dead.
“It was quite upsetting to see it and we aren’t really sure what happened. A fisherman nearby said he’d never seen anything like it.”
So far it is not known which authorities have been contacted to deal with the situation and ascertain the cause of the body washing up on the beach.
