A CARPENTER who attacked a traffic warden for giving him a parking ticket has been put behind bars.
Dale Fish, drove his car at the 21-year-old parking attendant, before punching him and knocking him to the ground.
Fish, also 21, of Brighton Road, Worthing, attacked the warden after receiving a parking ticket for his Ford Fiesta in Church Walk in the town on February 19.
He was handed a 16 months prison sentence after pleading guilty to dangerous driving and actual bodily harm at Chichester Crown Court on Wednesday, October 22.
Detective constable Andy Hobden said: "Fish attacked this man who was just doing his job and left him with a lot of nasty cuts and bruises, which is totally unacceptable behaviour."
