More than 60 dogs and their owners took part in the 12th Fox Terrier Fun Walk, writes FAY TATE.
Forever Foxed’s walk in Brighton was attended by wire fox, welsh, Glen of Imaal, Airedale and smooth fox terriers.
Terriers and their owners made their way along the Underwalk Cliff from the Marina to Rottingdean and back.
Organiser Jackie Sullivan said: “I began the fun walks with Diana Brusi, from Fox Terrier Rescue UK, as a way to meet up with fellow wire fox terrier owners and share our stories.”
The Brighton business co-hosted the event with Fox Terrier Rescue UK where many of the dogs were adopted from.
Matthew Hare, technical manager at the University of Brighton, 44, Selborne Road, Hove, said: “It was lovely to see all the dogs on the beach together – it is good that people are willing to stick their neck out and organise walks like this.”
Terriers and their owners from across the country and Europe travelled to Brighton to join in on the fun walk.
Biomedical scientist June Anderson, 56, from Norwich, said: “We come every year and it is fantastic – we’ve noticed how big they’ve become over the years.”
Julia Steel, 60, retired, Selborne Road, Hove, said: “It is spectacular when you see all of the dogs together and it is nice for us to see our terrier among her own breed as well.”
