BRIGHTON’S very own internet sensations joined up with musical superstars to sing on Band Aid 30.

Zoe Sugg and her boyfriend Alfie Deyes, founder of the YouTube channel Pointless Blog, are both singing on the latest edition of Bob Geldof’s Christmas classic.

The pair, both from Brighton, joined stars such as One Direction, Olly Murs, Ellie Goulding, Bono, Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran and Roger Taylor from Queen.

The YouTube couple, who have almost ten million subscribers between them as video bloggers – or vloggers – sing with the chorus for the fourth recording of Do They Know It’s Christmas?

After the studio session Zoella, 24, took to Twitter and said: “How amazing was that track?”

“Bob Geldof is one amazing guy,” the fashion vlogger added.

The final version of the song was premiered during the X Factor results show on Sunday.

It was rerecorded this year to raise money to help tackle the Ebola outbreak.

Mr Deyes, 21, described the recording session as “the most surreal day of my entire life”.

He said: “I’m so thankful to be involved with Band Aid 30 Let’s make a real change.”

Ms Sugg’s brother Joe Sugg, 24, who has more than three million YouTube subscribers, also appears on the track.

Geldof’s decision to include the vloggers was criticised by some social media users.

Zoella shrugged off the criticism.

She said: “If you were asked to help raise awareness and money for Ebola by Bob Geldof would you seriously say no?”

The single is already odds-on favourite to become the Christmas number one according to bookmaker Coral.

Within minutes of being premiered on TV Geldof said the amount of pre-orders had already guaranteed raising in excess of £1 million.
