Two men will appear in court after being charged with cannabis offences.

On Friday November 14 police raided an address in Collingwood Close, Peacehaven, and seized eight mature cannabis plants in a spare room, plus a quantity of herbal cannabis.

Georgina Heywood, 44, unemployed, of Collingwood Close, has been charged with production and possession of cannabis and has been bailed to appear at Brighton Magistrates Court on January 14.

Officers also went to an address in Hoddern Avenue, where they found more quantities of the drug.

Patrick Forbes, 33, unemployed, of the same address, has been charged with possession of cannabis, and is also due to appear at the same court on the same date.

PC Louise Barkaway from Peacehaven Neighbourhood Policing Team said; "We will continue to act on information given to the police about people allegedly using and dealing drugs in Peacehaven and East Saltdean and these warrants are an example of this.

"We urge members of the public to come forward with any other information they have regarding alleged drug dealing in their community. You can email us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call us via 101. You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111"
