A Brighton and Hove Albion collectors’ fair is returning for the first time in four years.

The Albion Collectors’ Fair will be held on Sunday, November 30 in Dick’s Bar at the Amex Stadium between 11am and 2pm.

Hundreds of old Albion programmes will be on sale along with pictures, books, fanzines and a host of other memorabilia.

Tim Carder, chairman of Brighton and Hove Albion’s historical society, which is organising the event, said: “These fairs were hugely popular at Withdean Stadium. I’m sure there will be at least the same interest now for this first event at the Amex.

“We’ve always tried to make it more than just a programme sale. On this occasion we will have the splendid Albion Museum open.

“There will also be football items on sale for clubs other than the Albion.”

The event will also feature a limited number of behind-the-scenes tours of the stadium’s dressing rooms, press rooms and pitchside area.

Bob Bond, the well-known cartoonist from Worthing, will be on hand to draw caricatures.

Mr Carder said: “With the Albion shop open, and drinks and snacks available, it is perhaps the perfect way to spend a Sunday lunchtime for any Albion fan.”

Admission to the fair is free.
