As part of a drink and drug driving crackdown police have released a video of an offender being subjected to a straight line test.
The video shows Jason Fray being ordered to prove he was fit to drive by carry out basic tasks before he was arrested.
Fray, 29, was arrested at 2.30am on 20 December last year after officers found him parked next to the A29 at Billingshurst and suspected he could have been drug-driving.
Fray, of Rascals Close, Southwater, was convicted of being in charge of a vehicle while unfit through drugs. He was banned from driving for four months, fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £25 victim surcharge.
Police have released the video as they launch the second year of a festive drink driving campaign.
