A church service will be held to remember the victims of anti-transgender violence.
Gender identity support group The Clare Project has helped to organise a memorial service to mark Transgender Day of Remembrance at Dorset Gardens Methodist Church in Brighton today.
The service is from 3pm followed by an event at The Marlborough pub in Prince’s Street.
The Transgender Day of Remembrance was started by Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honour the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman killed in 1998.
