TRAVELLERS could be evicted from a park if legal proceedings progress.
Around 15 caravans were seen near Preston Park in Brighton on Friday night 21/11 and had moved into in the northeast corner of the park on Sunday. 23/11 It is thought the group moved from the King Alfred Leisure Centre and Sackville Trading Estate in Hove and joined with another group of people who had previously parked in Shoreham.
A Brighton and Hove City Council spokesman said: “There were a number of lived-in vehicles in Preston Park which were visited at the weekend and again on Monday morning. Three vehicles have since left the park and the council has initiated legal proceedings on the remaining vehicles.”
