At Christmas, Brightonians are a soppy lot. Rather than Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, the city’s residents prefer to kick back with the crooners.

Smokey voiced Canadian Michael Bublé’s version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town is the city’s most-streamed seasonal song.

He tackled the classic, penned by John Frederick Coots and Haven Gillespie in 1934, for his 2011 Christmas album.

Coming a close second in Brightonians' Christmas playlist is another crooner.

Frank Sinatra’s I'll Be Home For Christmas (If Only In My Dreams) was number two in the hot-list of feestive music streamed by Vodafone customers using Spotify between December 1 and December 7.

Nationwide, Merry Xmas Everybody by Slade and Lonely This Christmas by Mud were the favourites. But there was more Michael Bublé being streamed in Brighton than anyone else with his with his White Christmas duet with Shy’m from the 2011 Christmas album at three.

The rest of the country couldn't get enough of Bing Crosby’s Winter Wonderland and Fairytale Of New York by The Pogues. But these didn’t make it into our top ten. Mariah Carey and Justin Beiber’s racy duet All I want For Christmas Is You (Super festive) is our number four.

At five is the classic carol Silent Night by Nat King Cole.

Another carol - O Come O Come Emmanuel (Christmas Songs) - comes in at six.

Britain's Got Talent runners up and classical crossover act Jonathan and Charlotte's version of O Holy Night takes number seven.

At number eight it's Baby, It's Cold Outside by the cast of E4 musical drama series Glee.

We can't get enough of Baby It's Cold Outside. Norah Jones and Willie Nelson's version is number nine in our top ten festive favourites.

Ella Fitzgerald's sultry vocals on Santa Claus Got Stuck In My Chimney round off the top ten in style.
