HOMELESS people were treated to a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
Staff from Donatello’s restaurant, in Brighton Place, served up the free feast at St Anne’s Church Hall in St James's Street in Brighton.
The Argus Appeal also supported the event.
Restaurant owner Sue Addis was helped out by a team of volunteers, including her seven-year-old grandson Max, Brighton and Hove mayor Brian Fitch, mayoress Norah Fitch and hall manager Mary Dunmore.
Around 60 guests tucked into a starter of smoked salmon and prawns, turkey with all the trimmings, Christmas pudding, mince pies and cheese.
Mrs Addis said: “Helping others is really important to the restaurant and we love sharing the celebration. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves. We have been serving up Christmas dinner for the homeless for about ten years. We prepare some of it at the restaurant and then serve it up at the hall and the guests are treated like Donatello customers. We also donate a soup every day to the soup run.”
