A pub is now “unrecognisable” after a £265,000 investment in a facelift.
The Martha Gunn pub in Upper Lewes Road, Brighton, has been renovated by independent pub company the Regency Corporation.
It follows a £265,000 joint investment by Enterprise Inns and Regency, which owns six other pubs in the local area.
Publican Matt Short said: “We’ve a host of new features that have really got people talking since we reopened our doors.
“These include pods and outdoor heating that mean the garden can be used all-year-round, fresh new interior décor, a superb selection of local and national cask ale, and we’ll have a great food offering in the new year.”
The all-year-round garden will host a range of summer events, including cider and ale festivals, food markets and entertainment.
General manager Ben Steers said the new look pub would offer a selection of craft beers, lagers, spirits and wine while, from mid-January, Brighton-based Mexican street food outfit The DeadGood Burrito Co would be providing its freshly-made burritos.
