As much as we enjoy the festive season, it does have the tendency to cause public transport turmoil.
Do not panic, though, as we are going to give you a summary of transport services up until the New Year (so you can avoid re-creating your own scene from Trains, Planes and Automobiles...).
BRIGHTON AND HOVE BUSES
Wednesday 24 December - Christmas Eve
Saturday service on all routes, with early finish on all services from approximately 10pm. Except routes 77, 78, 79 will not operate and buses on route 5A will stop at Hove Polyclinic today. Night buses N1, N2, N5, N7, N12, N14, N25, N29, N40 will NOT run.
Thursday 25 December - Christmas Day
No service
Friday 26 December - Boxing Day
Special timetable on routes 1, 1A, 2, 5, 5A, 5B, 6, 7, 12, 12A, 13, 14, 14A, 22B, 25, 26, 27, 28, 48, 49, 50, 77, 78 and 79 (for details click here). Night buses N1, N2, N5, N7, N12, N14, N25, N29, N40 will NOT run.
Saturday 27 December
Saturday service on all routes. Route N7/7 will start at 4.49am from Hove or 5.17am from Marina and route N25/25 will start at 4.51am from Sussex University or 5.41am from Portslade.
Sunday 28 December
Sunday service on all routes.

Friday 26 December 2014 - Boxing Day
An hourly Brighton to Victoria service will operatate leaving each hour at ##:26 from 07:26. The final service of the day leaves for the capital at 19:26.
Return services from Victoria to Brighton leave the capital each hour at ##:20 from 08:20. The final service of the day leaves for the south coast at 21:20.
Both services will call at Haywards Heath, Gatwick Airport, East Croydon and Clapham Junction.
There are no service on all other routes.
