A PETITION has been launched for a council to save an historic bath house.
Valerie Painter wants Brighton and Hove City Council to carry out a compulsory purchase of Medina House in King’s Esplanade, Hove, which was damaged in an arson attack earlier this month.
The Save Hove founder asks the council to buy the site before “any more damage accrues.”
The petition will be discussed at the council’s policy and resources committee in March.
Plans to demolish the baths and replace them with a block of flats is under consideration.
