TWO women have been injured after being hit by a car at a roundabout.
The women were injured as they crossed the road by the roundabout connecting London Road and Victoria Way, Burgess Hill, at 1pm yesterday.
One passer-by Jenny Kerr wrote on the Burgess Hill Uncovered Facebook site that both women were conscious but in pain and were taken to hospital via ambulance and helicopter.
She added that several onlookers rushed to give help including an off duty fireman and off duty paramedic while others praised nearby employees who carried out first aid.
The accident blocked off the busy road for several hours.
