RNLI rescue yachtsman trapped with his boat against Littlehampton harbour wall
A YACHTSMAN whose boat was pinned against a harbour wall by a strong tide has been rescued by lifeboat crew.
The alarm was raised at about 4.40pm this afternoon when a broken down yacht became stuck against the harbour wall at Littlehampton.
With fears that the tide would put the boat and yachtsman in more danger, the local RNLI team was launched.
The stricken boat was safely towed into Littlehampton Sailing and Motor Club around an hour later.
