A FUNDRAISING group is hosting a Knight to raise money for a football club in March.
Dick Knight is doing a talk at the Royal George, Upper Shoreham Road, Shoreham, at 7pm on March 20 to raise funds for Southwick Rangers FC.
The former Albion chairman is patron of the club and Friends of Southwick Rangers FC, the club’s fundraising group which started up in August last year.
Kerry Stanton, secretary of the group, said: “He’s an absolutely lovely bloke. We’re very lucky and privileged to have him.
“He’ll be talking about his life, what he’s done for Albion, and then doing a question and answer session with no pre-done questions, all off the cuff.
“He’s very involved with the Southwick Rangers. He’s done loads in the past with us.”
Along with giving a talk and taking questions, the Albion life president will be bringing along his new book to sign for fans.
Southwick Rangers have a number of youth teams who play in the Sussex Sunday Youth League and two men’s teams in Brighton and Hove District League.
Tickets for ‘An evening with Dick Knight’ are available by contacting Chairman Jenny Collingbourne on 07948 373115 or going to http://www.friendsofsouthwickrangers.co.uk/
