A POPULAR seafront club will close its doors for the last time before its re-launch in spring.

Clubbers have been going to Audio for ten years, which was The Escape Club before that.

Over the years it has welcomed superstar DJs Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk.

Late last year owner of 30 years John Holland sold the club to the London-based independent Mothership Group.

A closing party will be hosted in February 27-28 before the club is closed for refurbishment.

It is due to be reopened in early May.

Simian Mobile Disco will be the final act to play at Audio before its re-launch.

Andy Maddocks, operations director of Mothership Group, said: “We are really excited to kick off the refurbishment of the new bar and club.

“After many months listening to our DJs, promotors and locals we aim to create a new and exciting space that retains the DNA of the serious music establishment that we inherited. We look forward to re-opening in May.”
