POLICE have said a woman has died from natural causes after initially launching a murder investigation.
Officers were called to Tredcroft Road in Hove on Wednesday evening at about 11pm where a 67-year-old woman died. Detectives arrested a 75-year-old man who was still in custody this morning but was later released without charge.
A police spokesman said a post mortem examination established the findings.
Detective chief inspector Jason Taylor, from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: "A 75-year-old man who has been helping us with our enquiries has now been released from custody with no further action. I would like to thank him especially for his co-operation during an extremely difficult time and extend our sympathy to him and his family for their loss."
