Time is running out for you to nominate a group or class to enjoy a day out at The Albion.

The Argus has teamed up with Albion in the Community to give 100 youngsters the chance to go and watch the Seagulls in action for free.

The competition is open to every youngster in Sussex who will be in with the chance of visiting the American Express Community Stadium for the February 21 clash against Birmingham and the visit of Norwich on April 3.

But the closing date for nominations for the Birmingham game is Saturday, February 14.

To be in with a chance of winning the tickets, we are asking you what a group or class has done which needs to be recognised.

The Argus managing director Dawn Sweeney said: “The youngsters in Sussex get through so much good work in the county, but sadly a lot of it goes unnoticed.

“This is our way of thanking them for the amazing things they do which may sometimes be taken for granted.

“That’s all you have to do is flick through the pages of Youth in Action every week to realise how many groups, classes and individuals are worthy of these tickets.

“In every edition there are dozens of stories highlighting students’ achievements in the classroom, on stage and in the sporting arena – all you have to do is enter them into the competition and tell us why they deserve the recognition.”

The competition, dubbed School Shelf, has been facilitated by the football club as part of its ongoing efforts to inspire youngsters in the community.

There are no limitations or criteria a group has to match to be entered, so if you know a worthy bunch – here’s how to enter.

Send us an email or a letter highlighting who you are, how to contact you and why your group of young people deserve to be recognised. Email rosie.crompton@theargus.co.uk or write to Rosie Crompton, Argus House, Crowhurst Road, Brighton BN1 8AR.
