A driver was airlifted to hospital with "life-threatening" injuries after a crash between a car and a van.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Nuthurst Road, about 300 yards south of the junction with the A281 at Monk's Gatem Horsham, a few minutes before 2pm yesterday, where a blue Ford Fiesta had collided with a Ford Transit van.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "The driver of the Fiesta, a 24-year-old man from Horsham, was flown to St George's Hospital in Tooting with life-threatening multiple injuries.
"The driver of the Transit, a 25-year-old man from Worthing and a passenger in the Fiesta, a 25-year-old man, sustained minor injuries. They were both taken to the East Surrey Hospital at Redhill for treatment."
