A POPULAR pop-up shop giving space for local artists, jewellers and furniture makers has closed after almost two years.
Lovers of the unusual have been left disappointed after Knowledge closed the doors on its North Street site on Saturday for the last time.
The shop, a collaboration between Circus Kinetica and Healthy Planet Charity, took over a former mobile phone shop near Churchill Square in March 2013 and converted it into a space displaying unusual artwork, furniture, jewellery as well as clothes for sale and a library.
Organisers Circus Kinetica told The Argus that Knowledge had to leave the site because it was operating more like a commercial business rather than a charity contrary to the terms of its occupancy agreement.
The group said they hope to find a new location in the future but will be taking a break for the time being.
