This man could be connected with a recent spate of telephone and courier frauds where victims have lost thousands of pounds.

Police are hoping someone can identify the man following scams in Crawley, including an incident where an 85-year-old woman from Epsom Road was conned out of £3,600.

The victim was coerced into handing over her bank cards to a courier on the evening of Thursday, February 26, which were then used to withdraw £600 cash and purchase more than £3,000 worth of goods.

In another incident, a 73-year-old man from Forge Lane was contacted by phone around midday on Friday, February 27, by a man claiming to be from a fraud squad.

He told the victim his card has been used in London and tricked him into believing he was talking to Barclays Bank. The pensioner handed over his bank cards to a courier and £3,900 later on that afternoon.

In a third incident, a 95-year-old man from The Birches received a call that claimed he had money that was connected to a robbery. The victim then passed over £2,000 to a man who came to his door.

The suspect subsequently made large purchases at a variety of stores and withdrawals at a number of cash machines in the Crawley area. He used telephone banking to try and move thousands of pounds out of the victims' accounts.

Anyone who thinks they can help in identifying this man is asked to contact police on 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 1074 of 26/02.
