A SECOND wine burglary has hit the county as up to 375 cases were stolen from a warehouse.
Around 9am on Monday, March 2 it was reported there had been a burglary at the DF Warehouse in Brighton Road, Pease Pottage.
A worker arrived on Monday morning and found 350 cases of Bottega Gold sparkling wine and 20 to 25 cases of Bottega Rose had been stolen. It is estimated to be worth more than £10,000.
Last week a burglary was reported at a vineyard in Foxhole Lane, Bolney.
More than 4,000 bottles of wine with a total estimated value of more than £80,000 were stolen by intruders who broke into a warehouse between 6pm on Thursday (February 26) and 8.45am on Friday.
Anyone with information, who saw anything suspicious in either area or have been offered any Bottega for sale should email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk, call 101 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
