THIS year’s Brighton Fringe will be bigger and better than ever.

Those were the words of event managing director Julian Caddy, who was speaking at the official launch last night.

He appeared alongside a number of Fringe performers at the colourful event at the Sussex County Cricket Club.

He said: “Brighton’s Fringe is scheduled to be bigger than it has ever been before, there are already 750 shows confirmed and I wouldn’t be surprised if that number pushed over 780.”

From today Fringe brochures will be around the city with tickets also now on sale.

A special box office has been set inside the 1 Stop Travel Shop in North Street, Brighton.

Today there will be a special event at Brighton train station between 5pm and 7.30pm.

Performers will be in the concourse giving out programmes to commuters.
