A STUDENT hopes to raise money for a cancer charity with a dance show and raffle called Dance For A Cure.

Kimberly Thompson is organising the event at the Crowborough Community Centre for charity Target Ovarian Cancer.

The competition team from the Caroline Wright School of Dance will perform routines under the choreography of Mrs Caroline Burns, director of the dance school.

Kimberly is organising the bash as part of her BA degree in event management at the University of Greenwich.

The 28-year-old said: “With March being Ovarian Cancer Month, I felt honouring this charity with my event was perfect timing.

Target Ovarian Cancer is a national charity aiming to improve early diagnosis, fund new research into treatments and eventually cures as well as support.

According to the charity’s statistics, 7,000 women each year are diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the UK alone.

The show on Saturday starts at 2.30pm with guests asked to arrive at 2.15pm.

Tickets are £7 for adults and £5 for children and concessions with all proceeds going to the charity.

Tickets can be bought today at the Jarvis Brook Memorial between 3.30pm and 7.30pm or on the door on the day.
