MEN armed with handguns robbed a betting shop last night.
Two men went into the Ladbrokes in Rowlands Road, Worthing, at 6.40pm, demanding cash from the shop assistant. The thieves stole £170 in cash from the safe. No one was hurt and the shop was empty at the time.
One man is described as wearing a light grey hood and scarf over his face, a black jacket, dark trousers and white trainers and the second was wearing a black jacket with the hood up.
Detective constable Jane Mills said: "We are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Please contact police if you saw these men or anyone acting suspiciously in the area."
