A MAN'S body was found at the foot of Beachy Head late yesterday.
Police were called at 9.20pm yesterday after concerns had been raised about a parked car.
Following a search the body of a man was seen by a police helicopter crew at the bottom of the cliffs at 11.20pm.
The man, believed to be a 39-year-old from Hampshire, was recovered in the early hours of this morning by a lifeboat crew.
An Eastbourne Lifeboat spokesman said: "We launched at 1am to search for the person.
"He was found at about 2am and taken back to the lifeboat station, where he was passed to the police coroner."
Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
The man's next of kin have been informed and a coroner's officer is continuing enquiries.
