A PUB has been caught in the political crossfire after showing its colours.
A giant poster was unveiled across scaffolding outside The Stoneham Pub and Pizzeria in Portland Road, Hove, backing Labour candidate Peter Kyle as the next Hove MP.
The candidate told The Argus that he was approached by the pub’s landlords who were interested in lending their support.
And while the giant red poster has received the thumbs up from Labour supporters, it has irked opponent Green and Conservative parliamentary candidates.
A Brighton and Hove City Council spokeswoman has confirmed that officers are now looking into the issue and whether the poster breaches any planning regulations.
