A man has been arrested following the multiple stabbing of a woman in her Brighton home.
A 30-year-old man from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder by police this afternoon.
This follows a horrific incident in a house in Meadowview, Brighton, in the early hours of this morning (March 28).
Police say the alarm was raised at 12.08am when a neighbour entered a property in Meadowview and discovered a quantity of blood.
Around the same time a 19-year-old woman who was suffering from multiple stab wounds, got on to a bus close by.
The man was arrested after being spotted by a member of the public in Coombe Road around 4.10pm on Saturday.
The woman injured in the attack remains in a serious, but stable condition in the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information should contact Sussex Police via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting Operation Ascent.
