A MOTORIST has put himself in a tight spot with the law after being caught giving a lift to eight passengers in his hatchback.
A Sussex Police motorcyclist pulled over a Toyota Corolla in Pelham Drive in the Broadfield area of Crawley this morning after nine people were found to be travelling in the small family car.
Officers raised concerns there were not enough seat belts to go round for the passengers which included a number of children.
Police officers said the 35-year-old Crawley driver is now likely to face a court appearance for dangerous driving while his eight passengers had to find their own way home.
Jevington’s Dani Maynard broke the world record for the most women in a mini when she crammed 28 Sussex gymnasts into one car in 2012.
