TWO teenagers have been charged over £2,000 worth of damage to a railway station.
British Transport Police officers have charged two teenage boys following a public appeal for information after a platform shelter and ticket reader were damaged at Aldrington railway station following the incident late on Saturday February 28.
Within a day of a public appeal being released on Tuesday, a 16-year-old boy from Hove was arrested and a 17-year-old Croydon was arrested 24 hours later.
The pair have been released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday April 21 charged with criminal damage.
PC Billy Burstow has thanked members of the public who came forward with information.
