A 48-year-old drink-driver was nearly three times over the legal limit when he reversed into a parked car on a Thursday afternoon.
Hamilton Smith was arrested at 1.25pm on December 11 after he reversed a Volkswagen Polo into a parked Fiat 500 in Circus Street, Brighton.
He had 96 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of his breath - almost three times the 35 microgrammes legal limit.
Smith, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to drink-driving and driving without insurance when he appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court on March 20.
He was banned from driving for 24 months and ordered to pay £300 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
He is the 108th person to be convicted as part of Sussex Police’s Christmas 2014 crackdown on drink and drug-driving – Operation Dragonfly.
