A pair of peregrine falcons have turned a Sussex landmark into their very own love nest.

The birds of a feather have made Sussex Heights their home since 1998 and their first egg of the year has already appeared.

The Regency Square Area Society and the Sussex Ornithological Society have joined forces to provide coverage of the pair.

A camera was recently installed in the nest box and this weekend the first egg has appeared with more to follow in the next few days, probably up to four in total.

Rising to over 330ft, Sussex Heights is the tallest residential building in Brighton and Hove and affords spectacular views along the coast and over the city.

Peregrine falcons are the fastest creature on the planet in its hunting dive, the stoop, in which it soars to a great height, then dives steeply at speeds in excess of 200mph.
