DINERS at a popular Italian restaurant can support a children’s charity while devouring their favourite food.

ASK Italian in Ship Street, Brighton, is holding a fundraising raffle for Great Ormond Street Hospital in a bid to raise £1 million nationally.

A huge traditional Italian Easter egg is up for grabs to the winner – with each £1 raised per ticket going straight to the London hospital.

General manager Donald Tonner said: “Family has always been really important in Italy and, as Italian lovers, taking care of families, wherever they might be and whatever they might need, is a big part of what we do at ASK Italian too. It’s central to what Great Ormond Street Hospital do as well, and it’s these shared values that attracted us to them.

“The money raised will go towards funding the dining rooms, play rooms and a ward kitchen in the hospital’s new Surgery Centre, due to open in 2016.”

Tickets are available directly from the restaurant in Ship Street, Brighton, to both diners and those just passing by.
