BUDDING fashionistas were able to learn the ins and outs of vlogging from the experts.

The Shop and Tell event at Churchill Square in Brighton brought together more than 750 bloggers, stylists and fashion fans over the weekend.

Attendees were invited to share their top buys on YouTube and the vlogger with the highest hits by April 9 will receive £300 worth of shopping vouchers.

Vlogging, short for video blogging, is a popular way to share thoughts, ideas and tips with likeminded people.

Fashion and beauty blogger Tamara Kalinic, whose blog The Glam and Glitter was nominated for Best UK Fashion Blog, advised those at the event on building their presence online.

Ms Kalinic, who lives in the city, posted on Facebook afterwards: “Had such a fabulous time at #shopandtell event in @churchillsquare today and yesterday.

“I met many of you, my fantastic readers, spoke to you, did some styling and enjoyed just having fun with all of you.”

Brighton is home to top fashion and beauty vlogger Zoe Sugg, better known by her online alias Zoella, who has become one of the most influential internet stars.

Her YouTube channel has over seven million subscribers, and her first novel, Girl Online, broke the record for first week sales when it was released last November.

Her fans learnt about creating Shop and Tell videos about their trendy purchases, as well as receiving beauty tips and makeovers.

As well as expert fashion advice, more than 20 fashion retailers also participated in the event on the weekend with exclusive offers.

Churchill Square stylist Bethanie Lunn was also on hand with health and beauty makeovers throughout the day.

Kaye Walker, marketing director for Churchill Square, said: “The Shop and Tell Vlogging Day was a great success and we had a fantastic turnout.

“Celebrity Vlogger Tamara Kalinic was really popular with the customers and our own stylist Bethanie Lunn was also on hand throughout the day, talking to customers about current trends and giving advice on what styles might suit them."
