Detectives are trying to find a man who was seen with a man who is believed to be the victim of a kidnapping.

Officers believe the man bundled into a Vauxhall Astra in Prince's Terrace, Brighton, is Albianian Tony Kurt.

Mr Kurt was seen on CCTV walking with a man in Queen Square, Brighton. It is this man officers are trying to trace.

The next footage of Mr Kurt shows him being forceful pushed into the Vauxhall Astra shortly before 6pm last Sunday after getting out of a taxi.

Mr Kurt was identified by a number of people after an appeal. He is thought to be Albanian and may have lived in the Byron Street or Portland Road area.

Detective Chief Inspector Karen Mizzi said: "A number of people who have seen the CCTV have said they believe the victim could be Mr Kurt, although his name may be spelled differently or he could go by a number of names.

"We have also been told that he could live in the Byron Street or Portland Road areas of the city.

"We have still not spoken to anyone who has seen or heard from him in the last week so we are becoming more and more concerned for him.

"It could be that he is fine but we need to speak to him to make sure that he has not been harmed and that he is safe and well and I would urge anyone that has any idea where he could be to contact us urgently."

They are still keen to speak to anyone who might have seen the victim in betting shops in Brighton and Hove before the kidnapping or in hospital in the last week.

Gazmend Mula, 29, of Temple Street, Brighton, has been charged with conspiracy to kidnap and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

Ilir Hasa, 23, of Denmark Villas, Hove, has been charged with conspiracy to kidnap and possession of an offensive weapon.

Both appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Saturday (18 April) and were remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 7 May.

Officers are still looking for at least two other men in connection with the kidnapping.
