A DANCE teacher who set up her own dancing school in Brighton celebrated her 100th birthday.
Molly Ball, the name behind Molly Ball’s School of Dance, celebrated with a party at St Joseph’s Rest Home in Kemp Town.
Some of her former pupils from the 50s and 60s also came along to pass on their best wishes, much to Mrs Ball’s surprise.
One of her most famous students was Judy Cornwell, best known for her role as Daisy in the sitcom Keeping Up Appearances.
Her niece Janet Lupino, who was also taught to dance by Molly and featured on the Saturday Night Spectaculars in the 50s, said her aunt was an “amazing woman”.
She said Mrs Ball held dance recitals for the troops during the Second World War and would often sell out the Brighton Dome with her shows and raise money for charity.
