JAGUARS old and new descended on Brighton seafront yesterday.
The London to Brighton Jaguar Run saw 300 cars on Madeira Drive.
The oldest model on show at the free event was a Mk5 Jaguar, dating from 1950.
The newest was a Jaguar XE, a model making its public debut and not for sale until next month.
Organisers called it the “spiritual descendent” of a Mk2 Jaguar – the sort driven by Inspector Morse.
Organiser Phil Weeden said: “This is the perfect opportunity for car owners to come out and enjoy their classic Jaguars.
“We have them from all over the county, with a mileage award for the driver who has travelled the farthest to the start point.”
The next Jaguar outing is the Southdowns Drive on May 31, which starts from two locations in West Sussex and ends in Eastbourne.
