A CYCLIST was left with serious leg injuries after a crash with a van.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident on Sunday, May 3, at 10.40am when the 26-year-old London man was cycling east along the A27 just before the traffic lights junction with the A2270 at Polegate.
He collided with a white van travelling in the same direction and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. He was later discharged with severe leg injuries which need ongoing treatment. The van driver was unhurt.
