A MAN wanted by police after a knifepoint robbery has been arrested.
Steven Stewart, 30, was arrested on Tuesday (19 May) at Allestree in Derbyshire by officers carrying out stop-checks in the area.
Stewart, of no fixed address, has been charged with a robbery in Great Cliffe Road, Eastbourne, on April 28, possession of a knife in a public place, attempted burglary and driving while disqualified.
He appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Thursday [21/5] where he was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on June 11.
Detective constable Dan Thomson said: "We would like to thank the public and the media for their help in tracing Stewart."
