A cyclist suffered serious head and facial injuries when he was in collision with a car in Worthing.
The 24-year-old rider, from Worthing, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton following the collision in Heene Road at the junction with Rowlands Road at 2.02pm on Friday.
He is recovering after an operation to treat a brain injury.
The driver of the other vehicle, a green Ford Mondeo, a 66-year-old man from Worthing was uninjured.
