DESPITE rain and strong winds, food lovers came out in their hundreds for a tasty festival.
Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival’s Big Day Out was staged on Hove Lawns yesterday.
The free event included activities such as face-painting, spice tasting from the Curry Leaf Café, live entertainment for children and beer tasting in the beer tent.
Waste Not, Want Not, a workshop sponsored by Yelo Architects, was also popular with children creating plant pots, lamp shades and much more from chopsticks, donated by Moshimo.
Nick Mosley, organiser, said: “We have never done a stand alone children's day before and we have had a huge amount of help from local businesses, who have given their time for free.
“We will be doing this again.”
