Parents have lost their fight to stop a mobile phone mast being built near their children's school.
T-Mobile have been given the green light to build a 15-metre high mast on the Rivervale Cars showroom in Victoria Road, Portslade.
Parents and children from St Mary's Primary School in Church Road protested outside Hove Town Hall before the city council's planning committee met this afternoon.
A petition with 185 signatures was handed to the committee, who also received letters of objection from 13 homes in the area.
But councillors rejected their arguments and voted to grant permission for the mast.
T-Mobile had told the council aerial was needed to boost phone 2G and 3G reception in Portslade.
Should T-Mobile have been granted permission to build the mast? Let us know what you think below.
